As a seasoned Stalker 2 player with countless hours under my belt and enough radiation to power Chernobyl twice, I can confidently say that the thrill of tracking down hidden silencers and suppressors is second to none. It’s like an Easter egg hunt for the post-apocalyptic era!
Are you planning to use a stealthy weapon in Stalker 2? To achieve that, you’ll have to locate various silencers and suppressors scattered throughout the game world. Some of these you’ll acquire through quests, while others may be found hidden. Remember, not every suppressor fits every weapon, so you’ll need a unique one for each type.
Where to find a silencer/suppressor
In Stalker 2, there’s an abundance of silencers/suppressors for different weapon categories. Initially, you might come across some for basic pistols. You can discover a silencer by assisting a man located in the area north of the Lessor Zone (known as Garbage). Alternatively, following the main storyline will lead you to the Detention Center within Garbage, where you could also find one.
Tactical Pistol Silencer: UDP Compact, M10 Gordon
You can find the Tactical Pistol Silencer for both UDP Compact and M10 Gordon in the Lesser Zone, near some farm buildings where the main road meets the northern checkpoint, past a broken bridge. There might be someone there being hassled by raiders. Help him, and he’ll reward you with his silencer from his hidden stash.
Pistol Suppressor: PTM, APSB, Buket S-2, Zubr-19, Skif’s Pistol
In the Garbage area, you’ll find the Silencer for the Pistol that works with the PTM, APSB, Buket S-2, Zubr-19, and Skif’s Pistol. This location is easily accessible by following the main road east, right after crossing the Northern Checkpoint bridge into the region. You’ll be here to meet Star, a crucial part of a main mission. Star will provide you with a suppressed pistol; all you need to do is detach the suppressor from his gun and attach it to Skif’s pistol instead.
It’s best to equip the Pistol Suppressor on Skif’s Pistol since his gun is a vital quest item, meaning it stays in your inventory. Since you’re going to need it anyway, why not use it? The advantage is that there are methods available to boost your carrying capacity if these quest items happen to be weighing you down.
Don’t forget to fasten the muffler or sound dampener onto your chosen firearm prior to heading out for target practice at the next location. For additional tips and equipment details, check out our Stalker 2 guide on our website.
