He stated that while not filming, the contestants, including the Traitors, live at an airport hotel in Inverness. Additionally, Cumming himself stayed in a small house in Inverness, but he had a room in the castle where he would get ready and dress up.

Coming on, he explained that his castle room often housed a large bed, though it was not used for extended stays.

Yet, editing and censorship methods are employed to create an illusion for viewers as if the participants truly live within the castle.

At the close of each day, the host of The Traitors UK, Claudia Winkleman, informed the participants that they would be escorted to their individual accommodations.

Additionally, Wilfred Webster, a traitor from Season 1 of The Traitors UK, shared in an interview with Heat Magazine that contestants were kept blindfolded until they arrived at their sleeping quarters. He also mentioned, “We didn’t have our phones either.” Further explaining, he said that not only were phones prohibited, but even the TV remotes were taken away to prevent anyone from accessing the internet or searching for information about each other.
