As a die-hard fan of both Yash and Prabhas, I find myself constantly in awe of their incredible journeys and the impact they’ve had on the film industry. While they may share some similarities, such as their ability to captivate audiences and make us fall in love with their characters, they are truly unique talents in their own right.
Working together on the KGF series with director Prashanth Neel significantly transformed the Kannada film industry in an enduring way. Movies like KGF 1 and 2 were huge box office successes and received positive feedback from viewers. Yash, now a well-known pan-Indian star, previously discussed his similarities with another popular actor named Prabhas.
In 2022, during an interview with Bollywood Hungama, actor Yash responded to being compared to Prabhas in Bollywood by saying, “I aim to be the one and only Yash; Prabhas is undoubtedly a remarkable actor.”
“He went on to say that he considers this praise as a compliment, given Prabhas’ accomplishments. Furthermore, he shared that he has always advocated for self-expression and tries to steer clear of comparisons.”
During a recent conversation, the actor from the movie “Mr. and Mrs. Ramachari” shared insights about Prabhas’s starring role in Baahubali. He expressed admiration for director SS Rajamouli, highlighting that the successful film significantly boosted the recognition of South cinema.
“Over time, our dubbed movies became more recognized by the public, which had been an overdue process. We owe this success to the efforts of director SS Rajamouli. Just as you need consistent effort to break a rock, Baahubali provided the necessary momentum,” he concluded.
In the professional sphere, I am eagerly preparing for my forthcoming role in the film titled ‘Toxic’. I’ve begun working on this project under the guidance of esteemed director Geetu Mohandas, as evidenced by the photo I recently shared from the set, signaling my excitement about it.
Based on recent news, the movie Toxic will delve into the sinister underworld of drug trafficking in the 1950s. The film, due for release on April 10, 2025, is expected to offer a thrilling storyline centered around Yash’s commanding performance.
Although TopMob previously hinted at a possible delay in the release date for the movie, no formal announcement confirming this has been made yet.
Meanwhile, you should know that Prabhas has several upcoming movies in the works. One of them is “The Raja Saab” with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and he’s also set to appear in Nag Ashwin’s sequel to “Kalki 2898 AD”.
