Today, we’re taking a trip down memory lane and reminiscing about when Sobhita Dhulipala shared an interesting anecdote about being replaced by a dog in a commercial shoot. During a lively conversation with Neha Dhupia, alongside her Made In Heaven co-star Jim Sarbh, the actress disclosed this intriguing fact. She recounted an unconventional audition process that led to an unexpected twist in its results.

One evening, the actress who starred in The Night Manager disclosed that she got an unexpected call-to-action for a casting, which gave her an eerie feeling. Despite this, she decided to attend the audition and was later informed that she had been chosen. Filled with anticipation, she journeyed to Goa for the filming and eagerly awaited the adventure ahead.

Sobhita shared that she received a call for an audition at 11:30 at night which seemed odd to her. She went for the audition and was told she had been selected for the role. Instead of going to Thailand or Australia, she ended up in Goa. Despite the unusual circumstances, Sobhita remained excited about the opportunity.

As she explained, the initial shooting day went smoothly. Unfortunately, a camera problem arose, necessitating a continuation on another day. After examining the footage, the client felt that her persona did not align with the brand’s image, finding her “too confident” for the role. Eventually, they opted to replace her with a dog.

According to Sobhita, “The first day was successful, despite a minor problem with the camera. They decided to reshoot the following day instead. The client watched the footage and commented, ‘The model isn’t fitting the role well; she appears confident but doesn’t align with our brand image.’ Surprisingly, they switched me out for a dog in the next scenes, but I still received my payment, so that’s alright.

Sobhita Dhulipala initially ventured into modeling; inspired by a college companion, she was goaded to try out for a beauty pageant. Determined to show her worth, she participated. Hailing from a humble background, her father served in the Merchant Navy and her mother was an educator.

Prior to moving into Human Resources and economics, she delved into corporate law studies. Her victory in Miss India 2013 sparked a love for acting, which she’s now successfully pursuing. Some of her notable performances include Goodachari, The Night Manager, Made In Heaven, Monkey Man, among others.
