Nawazuddin Siddiqui was among the many talented actors who joined this ambitious production, alongside Trisha Krishnan and Malavika Mohanan.

In the movie Petta, the narrative centers around the character Kaali, who takes up the role of a school administrator or headmaster. However, as the plot unfolds, it becomes clear that Kaali is no typical caretaker; instead, he proves to be someone of significant importance and influence.

Not long after, his past comes back to haunt him, leading him to confront his old foe, Singaar Singh, in a final battle aimed at resolving their ancient grudges definitively.

After its premiere, the movie garnered favorable reactions from viewers. It’s said that the film generated approximately 2500 million rupees while only costing 1600 million rupees to produce, thus becoming an enormous box office success in 2019.
