As an ardent fan, I am utterly astounded by Prithviraj Sukumaran’s unyielding dedication to his craft. His transformation for “The Goat Life” (or Aadujeevitham) is nothing short of phenomenal. But it’s not just his acting skills that leave me awestruck; it’s his relentless pursuit of authenticity in portraying each character that truly sets him apart.
In a stunning display of dedication and versatility, Prithviraj Sukumaran left audiences spellbound with his film, “The Goat Life,” or “Aadujeevitham” in Malayalam. Prithviraj’s remarkable physical transformation in the movie took everyone by surprise. However, did you know that he underwent a rigorous 72-hour fast for his role? This self-imposed hardship resulted in a weight loss of over 30 kgs from his body.
Surprisingly, Prithviraj Sukumaran openly discussed his dramatic body change earlier in the year, revealing its impact on his health. He stated, “My goal was to appear as if I was someone who rarely had enough food and was constantly hungry.”
Moreover, Sukumaran revealed that the purpose of the physical changes he underwent was to shed a significant amount of weight, and he managed to lose approximately 31 kilograms to portray his character in Aadujeevitham.
He explained that the method he utilized for this change was largely due to him adopting that specific process, implying his transformation was primarily influenced by fasting. On certain occasions, he’d fast for as long as 72 hours. During these periods, he would only consume water and black coffee, without any other food.
For the actor from Satham Podathey, transforming physically presented an extra hurdle since he needed to undergo this drastic change not once but twice, as the movie’s production had to be stopped and resumed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
For those unfamiliar, the story of Aadujeevitham centers on a young man from Kerala (Prithviraj), who finds himself enslaved in the Middle East. With limited contact with the outside world, this boy is forced to work tirelessly as a shepherd in the deserts, toiling under harsh conditions.
Currently on professional duties, Prithviraj Sukumaran recently starred in the humorous movie Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, helmed by Vipin Das. Moving forward, he will appear in his upcoming directorial project, Lucifer, with Mohanlal taking the main role.
In addition to the two main actors, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith, and Manju Warrier are also set to take on significant roles within the movie.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news! The much-anticipated sequel to the 2019 hit film “Lucifer,” titled “L2 Empuraan,” is set to grace our screens in five major regional languages: Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. This movie marks the second chapter of a trilogy, promising an engaging cinematic experience for fans across India. Stay tuned for more updates!
