When Is Supernatural Expected to Be Leaving Netflix & Why?

Fans can’t wait to find out when the show “Supernatural” will no longer be available on Netflix, as they are curious to understand the reasons behind the possible removal of all seasons of this widely-popular drama mystery, sci-fi, and horror series from the streaming platform.

Here are all your questions answered.

Is Supernatural leaving Netflix in 2025?

Supernatural could be leaving Netflix on December 18, 2025.

On this particular date, it’s been announced that the series Arrow and The 100 will no longer be available on Netflix. Both of these shows concluded in the year 2020, which also happens to be when Supernatural aired its final episode.

Nevertheless, certain The CW series will reside on Netflix’s platform until 2028. Among these are The Flash and Riverdale, both of which concluded their runs in 2023.

Why could all Supernatural seasons be leaving Netflix?

It’s possible that all Supernatural seasons might be leaving Netflix due to a clause in the contract between Netflix and the show’s original network, The CW. This clause specified that the series would stay on Netflix for five years after the final episode aired. Unfortunately, The CW and Netflix didn’t renew their licensing agreement, which expired in 2019, meaning the series might soon be departing from Netflix.

In simple terms, the final episode of Supernatural aired back in November 2020. If we fast-forward to November 2025, five years later, you’ll notice that the deal between The CW and Netflix for streaming the series won’t have been renewed, so the show will no longer be available on their platform by then.

For Jane the Virgin, this was the situation: The series concluded its run in 2019, and it ultimately ceased streaming in 2024.

All 15 seasons of Supernatural are available on the platform as of this writing.

Eric Kripke, who later became known for producing shows like The Boys and Gen V, was the one responsible for creating this series. Leading roles are played by Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles as brothers Sam and Dean Winchester. The supporting cast includes Misha Collins, Mark Sheppard, Jim Beaver, Ruth Connell, Alexander Calvert, Samantha Smith, and Mark Pellegrino.
