Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa drew attention when he was taken into custody due to his involvement in the murder of his fan, Renukaswamy. For a prolonged spell, he remained behind bars together with actress Pavithra Gowda, who was also implicated in the same case.
In November 2023, Pavithra Gowda posted a photo of Darshan at her home, participating in the festivities for her daughter, Khushi’s birthday celebration.

In the video posted by the actress, it appears that Darshan was stationed next to Khushi while she sliced her birthday cake. Subsequently, he offered her a heartfelt embrace. As the video progressed, one can see Darshan dancing with Khushi, and they seemed to share many delightful moments together.
To clarify for those not in the know, it’s said that Darshan was romantically involved with Pavithra and faced accusations of murdering his admirer Renukaswamy. This fan is reported to have sent inappropriate messages to the actress. At present, both Darshan and Pavithra have been released on bail by the court in Bangalore.
Stepping back into reality now, it’s still a waiting game for justice in the tragic murder case of my beloved fan, Renukaswamy, who was just 33 years old. Despite being released on bail, Darshan, Pavithra, and their alleged associates are still under legal scrutiny by the court. I can only hope that truth will prevail and justice will be served for our dear Renukaswamy.
In December 2024, after the legal proceedings involving her mother, Pavithra Gowda’s daughter, Khushi, expressed her feelings on Instagram, addressing the harmful remarks they had received and expressing her emotional turmoil.
