Instead, according to a well-known source within the industry, Daniel RPK (Daniel Richtman), it’s said that the trailer might be released in August based on information shared through his Patreon account.

He said, “Good news, the ‘Sonic 3’ trailer and a poster are all set. But it won’t be released this month but in August.”

Later on X (formerly Twitter), RPK tweeted the supposed tagline for the film’s marketing.

While fans might find this intriguing, it’s important to note that the details haven’t originated from an authoritative or verified source, so they should approach them with caution.

So, fans should keep an eye on the official social media accounts of Paramount Pictures or Sonic the Hedgehog for updates regarding the trailer’s launch date and poster unveiling.

On February 2, the most recent official marketing announcement regarding Sonic 3 was made, featuring a brief title teaser hinting at Shadow the Hedgehog’s role in the film.

If the trailer isn’t released in August, it’s quite likely that we might see it anywhere from September to November, considering the movie is set to hit theaters on December 20th.

Is Sonic the Hedgehog 3 delayed?

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is not delayed, as of writing.

In the upcoming movie Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Ben Schwartz, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, Idris Elba, Jim Carrey, James Marsden, and Tika Sumpter will re-emerge in their roles from the first two films as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Dr. Robotnik, Tom, and Maddie Wachowski respectively. Newcomer Keanu Reeves is set to join the cast, taking on the character of Shadow the Hedgehog.

Apart from the main actor, this production also features Lee Majdoub, Alyla Browne, Tom Butler, Krysten Ritter, Cristo Fernandez, James Wolk, and Jorma Taccone. Notably, Jeff Fowler, who previously directed the first two films in the series, will be back at the helm for this project as well.
