What's on TV tonight, Oct. 20? (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, The CW)

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of television-watching under my belt, I can confidently say that the return of Fall TV is like Christmas for me. The anticipation, the excitement, and the occasional disappointment – it’s all part of the thrill. Tonight, I’m particularly looking forward to the premiere of The Equalizer on CBS. Queen Latifah, you had me at hello!

Television shows returning for the fall season are all set to kick off tonight, marking their grand comeback. Here’s a round-up of what you should tune in to on each of the major broadcasters this coming Sunday, October 20th.

Absolutely, it’s all about the highly anticipated premiere of “The Equalizer” season 5. We’ve been eagerly waiting for this moment to see Queen Latifah back in action. Despite my disappointment over CBS cancelling a specific show (long live “NCIS: Hawaii”), I will wholeheartedly support female-led series like “The Equalizer”, “Matlock”, and “Elsbeth”.

More Tracker, Hocus Pocus, and much more

For ABC, Sundays have become about family movies, and this week it’s Hocus Pocus. This is the original movie, which saw NCIS’s Sean Murray as Thackary Binks. Poor Binks! We see three witches who want to be young forever, but that meals stealing the lives of children. Well, in 1693, the townspeople won’t let witches live. What about in 1993?

If you’re craving a crime drama, CBS kicks off the evening with “Tracker”. In this episode, Jensen Ackles from “Supernatural” returns as Russell Shaw, who reappears because his younger brother is in distress. Indeed, Russell shares striking similarities with Dean Winchester from “Supernatural”, and there’s no avoiding that connection!

For sports enthusiasts, it’s customary to find Sunday Night Football on NBC. Tonight, we’ve got an exciting matchup: the Jets playing against the Steelers. Given the recent changes in the Jets’ roster, it will be intriguing to see if they can secure their first victory of the season tonight.
