What's new this October 2024 for PlayStation Plus members

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the lineup for October’s PlayStation Plus Essential tier games is nothing short of impressive! The selection caters to a wide range of gaming tastes, from the heart-pounding suspense of Dead Space, to the raw adrenaline rush of WWE 2K24, and finally, the enigmatic Doki Doki Literature Club Plus.

As a PlayStation Plus Essential member, I’m excited to dive into the three fresh games that Sony unveiled during last week’s State of Play broadcast for October!

Below are the free games for October 2024:

  • Dead Space
  • WWE 2K24
  • Doki Doki Literature Club Plus

Initially, we have the 2023 remake of the chilling game titled “Dead Space“. Perfect for setting a spooky mood during the upcoming season! For those who haven’t experienced the original or are unfamiliar with it, this is a spine-tingling sci-fi horror survival game set in outer space. In this thrilling adventure, you assume the role of Isaac Clark, the lone survivor on a spaceship overrun by aliens, and your partner mysteriously vanished somewhere within its depths.

Without a doubt, it significantly enhances the initial game and leaves you yearning for another chance to replay the original from scratch as well.

Coming up next is WWE 2K24, the latest addition to the series. To be frank, if you’ve played any of the previous WWE 2K games, WWE 2K24 doesn’t deviate significantly from the usual pattern. Yet, it retains the same well-known formula. Nevertheless, there are some novel aspects in this version that might require a bit of digging to discover.

Among the exciting new features, one standout is the option to use three of your finishing moves to execute a more powerful and intimidating version known as the Super Finisher. As thrilling as it may seem, it truly lives up to its name. If you haven’t yet experienced this series’ latest edition, now would be an ideal moment to give it a try by downloading it.

To wrap things up, we have “Doki Doki Literature Club Plus“. Despite its cute title and description, beware that it’s an enhanced edition of the indie game.

To put it simply, discussing the game “Doki Doki Literature Club” might spoil its unique charm for potential players. It offers a covert narrative that can evoke feelings reminiscent of a psychological horror game at times, and carries an unspoken bond similar to “Fight Club.” Once you’ve experienced it, there’s an unwritten rule not to disclose details about the game, as doing so could diminish its impact.
