In the second season of “Silo,” its fifth episode has been released, offering viewers an enthralling journey filled with fresh insights about Hope Solo. Curiosity is running high as fans are eagerly anticipating a closer look at Hope Solo’s secret cache that she’s safeguarded for years. So, what secrets lie within Hope Solo’s vault in Silo Season 2?
Here is everything to know about the secret of the fault in the thriller series.
What was in Solo’s vault in Silo Season 2 Episode 5?
In the latest installment of Silo Season 2, we find protagonist Solo living as the solitary survivor of the uprising within Silo 18. He’s been secluded in this underground sanctuary for quite some time now, following orders from a figure named Russell to keep others at bay and maintain privacy.
Nevertheless, Juliette attempts to secretly enter the vault, but Solo thwarts her and almost ends up harming her severely. Subsequently, she consoles him, and eventually, he concedes to assist her in making a safe journey back home.
Though the show hasn’t explored the secrets of the vault extensively so far, the original book reveals crucial plot points about it. In the novel, we learn that Jimmy, who goes by the alias Solo, possesses the ability to manipulate all the technological devices within his ship.
He gained access to the radio, the pact, and the security cameras. Jimmy also tried to use the cameras to track his parents. However, his parents ended up getting killed by intruders as Jimmy refused to hand them over access to the technicalities.
Jimmy’s dad made it clear that he was never to reveal the access code or let anyone into the vault. The passing of his parents took a toll on Jimmy, causing him confusion that led him to perceive his father, who was the head of IT, as a ghostly figure.
One reason Jimmy takes such great care in guarding the vault is because of the deep emotional trauma he experienced from his parents’ untimely death at the hands of intruders. The vandalism on the wall and the remains within the vault belonged to insurgents who aimed to pressure Jimmy into leaving the safety of his refuge.
The book suggests that Jimmy was compelled to kill the intruders once they discovered the access code. Additionally, his solitary confinement in the vault granted him extensive knowledge about the Silo’s history. It promises an engaging experience as we delve deeper into the origins of Jimmy, alias Solo, in the upcoming series.
