As a seasoned gamer and die-hard fan of post-apocalyptic survival series, I must say that the recent collaboration between AMC and Netflix has sent shockwaves through my gaming den! With the addition of various spinoffs from the iconic The Walking Dead universe to the streaming giant’s library, it feels like Christmas came early for us zombie slayers.
Starting from July, I’ve got some exciting news as a fellow gamer! AMC teamed up with Netflix to bring a bunch of their original shows, including spin-offs of “The Walking Dead,” straight to our streaming screens. As you might know, Netflix has been my go-to for all eleven seasons of “The Walking Dead.” This partnership means this deal stays in place until 2027, and who knows, it could be extended even further! So, let’s keep our fingers crossed and enjoy the zombie apocalypse together on Netflix.
Starting on August 19th, Netflix subscribers can look forward to starting a partnership that brings 13 AMC series into their lineup. Among these are the initial installments of “Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire” and “Mayfair Witches,” as well as “Monsieur Spade,” “The Dirty Black Bag,” and “The Terror.” Furthermore, the first and second seasons of “Dark Winds,” “Gangs of London,” and “Kevin Can F*** Himself” will be included, along with seasons 1 to 3 of “A Discovery of Witches,” “Into the Badlands,” and four seasons of “Preacher.”
What Walking Dead spinoffs stream on Netflix?
The Walking Dead – 11 seasons
To clarify, you can find all eleven seasons of “The Walking Dead,” a show inspired by Robert Kirkman’s comic book series, available for streaming right now. The show takes place in a world overrun by zombies, where the characters must not only fight off the undead but also face the real danger posed by other human survivors.
Fear the Walking Dead – 8 seasons – beginning August 19
The first offshoot from the original series, known as “Fear the Walking Dead,” premiered on AMC for a total of eight seasons. Its first episode was released in 2015, setting its story at the very beginning of the outbreak. Unlike the main series, this show started in Los Angeles and, while it shared the same world, its narrative was distinct. Over the course of its eight seasons, the series frequently changed locations, with the final season being set in Georgia.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – 1 season – beginning August 19
In 2023, the fifth spin-off from the original series, titled “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon,” made its debut. This show primarily revolves around the character Daryl Dixon, played by Norman Reedus, and follows his narrative as it unfolds in a new adventure set in France. The Daryl Dixon spin-off has been greenlit for two more seasons, with season 2, titled “The Book of Carol,” airing on September 29. This season will see the return of Melissa McBride reprising her role as Carol Peletier.
In 2025, two more Walking Dead spinoffs will be added to Netflix
