As someone who has been part of the TWD family since its inception, I must say it feels like a bittersweet moment to know that the series finale aired back in 2022. Yet, here we are, still celebrating the show’s anniversary and reminiscing about the journey we shared together. The Walking Dead was more than just a zombie show; it was a testament to human resilience, a story of survival, and most importantly, a bonding agent for a global community that grew around this epic saga.
2022 marked the conclusion of my 12-year journey with “The Walking Dead” on AMC Network. Over the course of 11 seasons and 177 episodes, this show based on the TWD comics by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard became more than just a series – it formed an unparalleled community that I am proud to be part of: The TWD Family.
On November 20th, 2024, fans marked the second anniversary of the final episode by sharing tributes on social media platforms. Memories, behind-the-scenes footage, clips, memes, and more were posted by both fans, cast members, and crew to celebrate a show that transcended being just a “zombie” series. It was a narrative about survival, family, and resilience that continues to strike a chord with many viewers.
Since that day, there’s been a lot of buzz around “The Walking Dead” and a common question popping up among both dedicated viewers who’ve watched the series countless times and newcomers who haven’t seen an episode yet: “Where can I stream The Walking Dead?”
Stream The Walking Dead on Netflix
2011 saw AMC and Netflix striking a deal, allowing several original shows from AMC to stream on the platform. This agreement encompassed hit series like The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and Mad Men. However, as per reports, Mad Men has been taken down. It’s been confirmed that The Walking Dead will remain accessible on Netflix up until 2027 according to the terms of this deal.
The advantage of the primary agreement lies in its potential for continuation, given our continuous collaboration with AMC and Netflix. In August 2024, this partnership expansion led to the addition of an extra 13 AMC series to the streaming platform.
