What should you wear at Sasnak City: The Gathering 2024?

As a seasoned attendee of Sasnak City events, I can’t stress enough the importance of comfort when it comes to your outfit for The Gathering 2024. After years of trudging around in ill-fitting shoes and freezing my tail off in the auditorium, I’ve learned my lessons.

2024’s The Gathering is quickly approaching! If you’ve never attended an event in Sasnak City before, there might be several things you wonder about. One common question people often ask is about the appropriate attire.

As a gamer, I’m all about capturing those epic moments for keepsake. That’s why I always ensure my photo sessions are on point, creating cherished memories that last a lifetime. However, it’s also crucial to consider the elements – the weather and environment – to make sure every shot is just as stunning as the memory it captures.

Rule #1 for The Gathering 2024: Be comfortable

When it comes to clothing choices, I follow one simple rule. Make sure you’re comfortable.

It’s not ideal to debut your fresh heels now. Instead, opt for footwear that fits comfortably and can sustain you for the entire day. If you’re someone who wears high-heels regularly, by all means, go ahead! Have fun with it! On the other hand, I personally prefer sneakers for a comfortable day ahead.

You’ll find a good deal of strolling throughout this event. It’s not as intense as larger conventions, but you should be prepared for some queueing and exploration to check out the vendors. The vendor area is situated in a somewhat uneven part of the World War I Museum, which can make it challenging to traverse in high heels.

Regarding attire, I usually opt for T-shirts, tank tops paired with jeans or leggings. I’ve worn shorts for warm weather occasions, but considering The Gathering 2024 takes place in November, Kansas City might be chilly!

Have a sweater for the panels

Whenever I attend the panels, I make sure to bring along a sweater or blanket since it tends to get quite cold in the auditorium, especially at the beginning. It’s also a good idea to have one for the rooms where the meet and greets take place as they can be on the cooler side.

Absolutely, in the central gathering spot among your Sasnak companions, it can become quite cozy. Feel free to place your sweater on a nearby seat when you’re not using it, then grab it again as needed for cooler spots during the event.

What about cosplay or dressing up?

At the Sasnak City event, it’s perfectly fine if you choose not to participate in cosplay. However, should you feel inclined to do so, feel free! The crowd won’t pass judgment – quite the contrary, they might admire your dedication and creativity. In fact, we’d be delighted to praise your effort!

Instead of discussing costumes, consider bringing a fancy ensemble if you’re heading to Fraser’s Ridge, as there might be an event called Turtle Soup that ticket holders could attend. You can always change clothes at the venue. Many people opt for this because they want to snap stylish selfies during the evening.

On Saturday evening, it’s best to step out from the venue for a bit, then return for the nighttime activities. This gives you an opportunity to go back to your hotel, freshen up and change if you wish. The choice to change is entirely yours. Some people prefer to keep their day clothes on for comfort, while others might want to switch to a different outfit.

Nobody is going to judge your choices. And if they do, well, they get a stern talking to.

The Gathering 2024 takes place between Thursday, Nov. 14 and Sunday, Nov. 17.
