At a recent gathering for the Film and Drama Club at Nirmala College in Muvattupuzha, filmmaker Jeethu Joseph generated excitement by sharing details about the plot of Drishyam 3.

He hinted that this new movie will focus mainly on Georgekutty’s family rather than any outside influences.

He explained that “Drishyam 3 delves deeper into the family’s personal lives, showcasing their complex relationships and shifting viewpoints. The narrative highlights how each character matures and interprets past occurrences in unique ways as they grow older.

In the same conversation, the director talked about the extensive procedure he followed to finish writing the initial script for the film. He emphasized the high level of stress he experienced during that time.

Every morning at 3:30 a.m., I’d rise from my slumber between the shoots of Mirage and Valathu Vashathe Kallan, dedicating myself to writing. It was a grueling battle, both physically and mentally draining. However, yesterday, I experienced a profound sense of relief.

When will Drishyam 3 go on floors?

According to a prior update from Cinema For You, it’s expected that Jeethu Joseph and Mohanlal will start filming for Drishyam 3 as early as September 2025.

It appears they postponed the start date of another project, Ram, for a second time, which was suggested by this as well. We’re still waiting for an official update regarding this situation.

Meanwhile, it’s worth noting that Mohanlal is preparing to embark on various upcoming projects. These include “Patriot” directed by Mahesh Narayanan, as well as “Vrusshabha” and “L365,” helmed by Austin Das Thomas.
