I’ve been keeping a close eye on Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s social media updates lately, and it seems like her Viking tattoo, once shared with ex-husband Naga Chaitanya, appears to have faded in her recent appearances. The buzz online suggests that this could mean she’s moved on from their past relationship. I can’t help but wonder if there’s any truth to the speculations…

Before tying the knot in 2017, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya often showcased their identical wrist tattoos. The design, a Viking symbol, represented the phrase “create your own reality,” and subtly hinted at their relationship before they went public.

After their wedding, Naga Chaitanya modified his tattoo by adding a unique detail. A fan later interpreted this addition as their wedding date (6-10-17) encoded in Morse code, adding even more significance.

In January 2017, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya announced their engagement in Hyderabad. Their wedding was a grand affair that took place in Goa, beginning with a Hindu ceremony on October 6th, followed by a Christian service the following day.

In an old interview with Bollywood Bubble, the Thandel actor recalled meeting fans who had inked his name and even copied his forearm tattoo. He had admitted feeling uneasy about it, as the tattoo symbolized his wedding date. 

He pointed out that personal situations may evolve with time and suggested that fans should reconsider getting tattoos with permanent meanings. “It’s not something you should follow. It was the day I got married, so I wouldn’t want my fans to copy that. I genuinely feel bad when they get these tattoos. It feels like ‘don’t, things might change.’ I myself might want to alter the tattoo later on,” Naga Chaitanya expressed.

In the meantime, Samantha got a tattoo on the right side of her ribs that said “Chay.” She also had a different tattoo inscribed below her neck, which read “YMC,” representing Ye Maaya Chesave (2010), a movie significant because it was both her acting introduction and the beginning of her relationship with Naga Chaitanya.
