As an ardent fan of Bala’s captivating acting skills and intriguing personal life, I find myself utterly fascinated by his unique approach to romance! With three marriages under his belt, it seems that our dear Bala is a master of the art known as serial monogamy.
Actor Bala wedded Kokila, his maternal uncle’s daughter for the third time, during a private ceremony at Kerala’s Kaloor Pavakulam Temple surrounded by family and loved ones. This marriage, which took the internet by surprise, highlighted the custom of serial monogamy – marrying one person at a time repeatedly.
What is serial monogamy?
One way to rephrase “Serial monogamy refers to the pattern of having one primary romantic partner at a time, then starting a new relationship upon the ending of the previous one” would be: Serial monogamy is the practice of being in a single long-term committed relationship at any given time, and moving on to another after the current relationship concludes. A person who engages in this behavior might have multiple relationships that span various durations, with some lasting merely for a brief while, while others could continue for several months or even years.
For example, certain individuals who practice serial monogamy might successively date numerous people, with each romance spanning only a couple of weeks or months. Alternatively, some may engage in longer-term relationships but struggle to adapt to singleness following a separation.
The National Institute of Health mentioned that this action can be carried out using different methods, including marrying women who are younger than oneself, or replacing a divorced partner with a woman who is younger than the former spouse.
What are the signs of a person who is a serial monogamist?
As a devoted adherent to monogamy, I generally dedicate myself to forming a deep connection with a single individual at any given moment. Normally, following the conclusion of a relationship, I choose to take some time apart to mend my heart and contemplate my emotions. Conversely, when labeling myself as a serial monogamist, while still maintaining exclusivity in each relationship, I’m more prone to swiftly transition into a new connection without allowing for adequate emotional healing or reflection on past relationships and their endings.
Some of the signs include:
- They find it difficult to stay single.
- They rush into serious relationships, often overwhelming their partner with affection.
- There’s a lack of closure or proper communication between the end of one relationship and the start of another.
- They seek intense commitment early on in a relationship.
- Their constant insecurity and dependency can exhaust their partners emotionally.
Bala’s marriage history
Actor Bala is said to have gotten married to a woman named Chandana first, according to a post on Facebook. Later, he wed famous singer Amrutha Suressh and had a child together whom they named Avantika. After their divorce, Bala decided to try again and married Dr Elizabeth Udayan, but that relationship also ended. Eventually, he remarried Kokila for a fresh start.
