Who is Lasher in Mayfair Witches?
Lasher is a dark spirit in Mayfair Witches.
As a devoted fan, I’d like to share my perspective on the captivating character portrayed by Huston in the initial season. This enigmatic figure, known as Lasher, is subtly unveiled as the chief antagonist of the series. He’s an evil spirit, not just any ordinary one, but a watchful, ever-present entity over Rowan Fielding and her fellow witches. His aura is both intriguing and intimidating, hinting at an unmatched power that permeates every scene he graces. In the first season, Lasher transforms into a sinister presence within Rowan’s consciousness as she steps into the mesmerizing world of magic.
In the climax of part 1, surprisingly, he manages to enter the unborn child of Rowan. The second season saw a twist as Lasher, now born as Rowan’s infant, creates potentially harmful situations for those close to him.
Rowan embraces her newborn without regard for questionable motives, but what astounds everyone is how quickly the infant grows. In just a few short days, Lasher undergoes a transformation from a typical toddler into a pre-teen, causing an increase in his powers.
In the series, it’s not fully understood what Lasher wants, but the source books describe him as a creature known as Taltos. His main objective appears to be using Rowen and witches to breed more of his kind. Additionally, he is shown to murder numerous humans in an attempt to impregnate them, with Book 2 depicting the birth of another Taltos.
