As a long-time admirer of Naga Chaitanya’s talent and charisma, I find it disheartening to witness such unnecessary drama surrounding his personal life. Astrologer Venu Swamy’s prediction about his divorce with Sobhita Dhulipala, made before their marriage, was not only inappropriate but also caused undue distress.
Astrologer Venu Swamy found himself in a tricky situation when he made questionable comments about Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala‘s upcoming marriage, predicting their divorce before it even took place. These remarks ignited public uproar, leading the Telugu Digital Film Journalists Association to file a complaint with the Telangana State Women’s Commission. In a recent turn of events, the High Court has ordered an investigation into these allegations.
Based on an article from The Deccan Chronicle, it was initially Venu Swamy who defended against the complaint in court and secured a halt (stay) on any actions by the Women’s Commission. Later on, this stay was lifted by the Telangana High Court, enabling the Commission to proceed with their investigation.
The court additionally decided that the Women’s Commission possesses the power to handle the complaint appropriately. Consequently, Venu Swamy has been summoned for questioning by this Commission, in accordance with the High Court’s order. Furthermore, the court requested them to finalize their investigation and submit a report within seven days.
A video featuring Venu Swamy’s assertion about Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s relationship ending before 2027 due to a third party’s involvement gained popularity, causing controversy online. This prediction, based on past events in Naga Chaitanya’s life with his ex-wife Samantha Ruth Prabhu, led to criticism and eventually prompted Swamy to apologize for any misunderstandings caused.
Venu Swamy declared he would no longer speculate about the personal lives of movie stars or politicians, assuring, “I promise not to forecast the futures of film stars and political figures, and I intend to honor that commitment.” Additionally, he reached out to MAA President Manchu Vishnu to inform him of his decision to abstain from making any further predictions concerning actors’ lives.
According to Swamy, MAA President Manchu Vishnu conversed with him, and he guaranteed that he would not foretell the future of any film stars.
On August 8 this year, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala had a private ceremony where they exchanged rings, surrounded by their family in Hyderabad. This marks their engagement.
