On Friday, November 29, our beloved actor took his last breath at the Motion Picture and Television Woodland Hills Home in Los Angeles, six years after receiving an early-onset Alzheimer’s diagnosis. His wife, esteemed actress Lynn Herring Northrop, confirmed the news and expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the compassionate care he received throughout his journey. I join many others in sending my condolences to his family during this difficult time.
We’d like to express our deep gratitude to the exceptional and compassionate Motion Picture and Television Home, for their outstanding care of him. Known for his humor and wisdom, Wayne left an indelible mark on countless lives. A loving husband for 43 years, a fantastic father to Hank and Grady, and a rancher who cherished his cows and was well-loved by many.” (paraphrased from PEOPLE)
