Erceg retrieved it and tossed it towards Pasquantino at first base. As he tried to grab the throw, Pasquantino got his hand stuck, with Yainer Diaz of the Astros charging toward him.

Due to the event that transpired, both Erceg and Pasquantino sustained hand injuries. Manager Matt Quatraro assessed Pasquantino before he left the field. As reported by The Kansas City Star, Quatraro mentioned that they were undergoing tests, specifically X-rays on their hands, so they don’t have many details to share yet. After the incident, the Astros managed to score four runs in the eighth inning, with Mauricio Dubon delivering a two-run single against John Schreiber, who took over for Erceg.

When will Vinnie Pasquantino return to play with the Kansas City Royals?

Currently, there is no official confirmation on when Vinnie Pasquantino will return to play.

During an attempt to snag a spontaneous throw from Erceg at first base, Pasquantino suffered an injury to his hand, forcing him to leave the game in the eighth inning.

According to The Kansas City Star, when asked about Pasquantino’s possible comeback, Quatraro stated that they can’t definitively say when he will be back because he is still undergoing X-rays.
