Therefore, let’s delve into the events that unfolded for the star of The Real Housewives of Orange County.

Vicki Gunvalson shares health update

It’s said that Vicki Gunvalson underwent a serious health issue called sepsis, which is a potentially fatal complication triggered by an infection.

On her latest podcast episode titled ‘My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast’, Real Housewives of Orange County’s Gunvalson discussed a harrowing experience with her health. She explained how what started as a common sinus infection unexpectedly escalated into a potentially fatal situation. Her partner, Michael Smith, was there to help her through it.

The client, a former ER doctor, observed unusual speech from Gunvalson during a meeting, which prompted him to suspect a serious condition. He advised Olivia (Michael’s daughter) to immediately take her to the hospital. Initially, she was mistakenly diagnosed with a sinus infection and sent home. However, Michael later revealed that around three weeks prior, she had experienced a sinus infection that persisted longer than usual.

Vicki started taking antibiotics, which seemed to improve her condition. Later, we traveled to Europe, and things generally went smoothly. However, when she returned home on Thursday night and Olivia called, Vicki appeared tired and disoriented, as Michael elaborated.

Michael hurried back home from work in Arizona as quickly as he could. But right when he was about to arrive, it seemed like Vicki chose to have a bath. “She was in the bathtub with water and I walked in just as she had fainted,” Michael recounted. “I picked her up, removed her from the water, and put her in bed.”

Upon their return to the hospital, they discovered it was sepsis, triggered by an extensive infection linked to pneumonia. As Vicki shared, her odds of survival were estimated at 10-20 percent. Yet, she was reassured that she would pull through, albeit it would require some time.
