On May 27th, it was announced on Facebook by Red Sternberg’s wife, Sandy, that their beloved TV star had passed away. In a heartfelt post, she shared that this had been the toughest period of her entire life to express how deeply affected she is by the loss.

In simpler terms, Sandy mentioned, “To those who remembered him from his beginnings in acting, he went by ‘Kiko.’ But to our three children and me, he was just Dad or Dada.” Additionally, his wife disclosed that the actor sadly passed away three days prior to his 51st birthday on May 30th.

Rodwick “Red” Sternberg gained fame in the ’90s with his role as Kiko in the Filipino teen drama, T.G.I.S. (Thank God It’s Saturday). Just before his sad passing, he shared a nostalgic photo of the T.G.I.S. cast on Instagram.

Mark Reyes, the director of T.G.I.S., expressed his grief on Instagram over the loss of Kiko, a beloved character from the show. His words echoed the sorrow felt by the entire T.G.I.S. family: “We’re heartbroken to lose one of our own.” He also shared a message of love, saying, “Kiko, we’re giving you a group hug right now.” His iconic lines continue to resonate and live on.
