Queen Kadance Fredericksen passes away at 18, claims report
18-year-old Kadance Fredericksen, who had been crowned Miss Okaloosa County Teen USA 2024 and aspired to become a veterinarian, sadly lost her life in a car accident that occurred in Florida on February 17. The tragic incident took place in Santa Rosa County when her vehicle, for reasons yet undetermined, swerved into the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer, resulting in a head-on collision. Sadly, Kadance was declared dead at the scene, while the truck driver only sustained minor injuries. The circumstances leading to this accident are currently under investigation.
At Baker High School, student Fredericksen has just earned a full-scholarship to Mississippi State University, covering all expenses. Her family revealed that she was accepted into no less than nine universities and has grand aspirations for her tomorrow. Apart from her academic and beauty pageant successes, she is heavily engaged in philanthropic activities. In 2017, she established Kada’s Promise, a nonprofit organization aimed at offering comfort items to children residing in foster care and shelters. Her personal experiences in an abusive household served as the foundation for this endeavor.
The Miss Florida USA organization expressed its condolences. In a statement, “Our pageant community has lost a beautiful soul — one who was a true light in this world. She was ambitious, driven, kind, and a leader among her pageant sisters.” Her mother, Lisa Fredericksen, remembered her as “generous” and the “most kindhearted” person. (via PEOPLE)
