As a passionate admirer, I’d like to share that I was born on July 3, 1940, in the vibrant city of Madison, Wisconsin. My journey into the world of acting began in 1966 with a role on the iconic TV series Gunsmoke. This debut was just the start, as I graced the screen in science fiction films like The Bubble and the compelling Western drama, Chuka. However, it was my portrayal of Pete Cochran in the gripping crime drama series, The Mod Squad, that truly catapulted me to stardom.
The series chronicles the lives of three unusual individuals: Pete, Lincoln, and Julie. Among them, Colr’s character Pete is a man born into affluence who resorts to crime after being forced out of his home. Over a span of nearly four and a half years, the show garnered praise for Cole’s acting skills.
Apart from being recognized as a member of The Mod Squad, Cole is also well-known for his roles on television series such as General Hospital, It, Murder, She Wrote; The Eddie Capra Mysteries, among others. His filmography includes The Bubble, Chuka, The Last Child (a TV movie), Beg, Borrow or Steal, and more. Cole has also made guest appearances in shows like CHiPs, The Love Boat, and Wonder Woman.
Cole is survived by his wife Shelley Funes and his kids.
