Maria Eftimova passes away at 28, claims report

Sadly, travel influencer Maria Eftimova met a tragic end on February 22, plummeting around 65 feet while scaling Tryfan mountain in Snowdonia, Wales. The young woman, aged 28, hailed from Bulgaria as per BBC reports. Despite the valiant attempts of fellow climbers and rescue teams to save her, their efforts proved fruitless.

After her demise, numerous heartfelt tributes came in from friends and family members. Maria’s closest friend, Megan Griffiths, stated that Eftimova was “a truly exceptional individual.” She further commented, “The profound sorrow we feel at her untimely departure is immeasurable, as we deeply mourn the loss of such a treasured companion.” Another dear friend, Victoria Critchley, remarked, “Maria was a dynamic, intelligent, and dearly valued person whose lively spirit, vigor, and charm enriched and inspired everyone around her.” Critchley also emphasized Eftimova’s fervor for engineering and adventure sports.

Born in Bulgaria, Eftimova pursued civil engineering studies at the University of Salford. Sadly, she passed away unexpectedly, leaving her family heartbroken and grappling with the monetary difficulties associated with returning her home for one last goodbye, as shared by Critchley.

In Eryri National Park within the past two weeks, Eftimova’s death marks the second tragic fatality. A climber perished on February 16, following a fall on Glyder Fach mountain. The Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation conveyed their sympathies to the bereaved families and acknowledged those who attempted rescue efforts.
