Previously, Amanda Bynes has addressed rumors about her altered appearance by disclosing her use of cosmetic procedures. On TikTok in December 2023, she acknowledged having blepharoplasty done – a surgical procedure that eliminates excess skin from the eye area.
Following the debut of her podcast alongside co-host Paul Sieminski, Amanda Bynes observed comments from online users regarding her appearance. In response, she addressed this on TikTok by explaining that she wanted to clear up any confusion. She disclosed that she underwent blepharoplasty surgery, a procedure targeting the skin folds in the corners of her eyes, which was something she had not previously discussed publicly. Expressing gratitude for the surgery, Bynes stated it as one of the best decisions she’s made and expressed feeling much better about herself since having the operation.
In a subsequent video, she additionally discussed the impact of lighting on her appearance in pictures, stating, “At 37, I don’t appear old at all.” She further clarified that scars on one side of her face are not always noticeable due to changes in lighting conditions. To illustrate this point, she moved outside for the video and displayed how varying lighting can significantly alter her appearance in photographs.
