Interestingly, Swift and Kelce started dating in 2023, but he was already a recognized sports figure prior to their relationship going public. However, his name gained international recognition almost overnight due to the revelation of their romance.
Tony Romo comments on Taylor Swift’s relationship
In an interview with US Weekly, conducted through his collaboration with the footwear company Skechers, Tony Romo commented on Travis Kelce’s and Taylor Swift’s relationship. He pointed out that the connection has overall benefited Kelce, despite the attention from the press it brought about.
Romo remarked that while it may seem like he’s living a more active social life now, in truth, he might be doing less than he did when he was younger. He gave an example, saying if someone took a photo of him going to dinner with his famous girlfriend, it could appear as though they were out for an exciting evening. However, Romo clarified that this was simply a dinner outing. It’s almost like he’s married and regularly going out with his spouse, not being photographed constantly as he used to when hanging out with friends frequently.
Romo implied that Kelce might spend less time socializing with others than he used to. He explained, “It’s simply because when one is frequently mentioned in media that isn’t football-related, people often assume it influences things. However, if examined carefully, it can have a positive impact instead.
Remarkably, Romo played as a standout quarterback throughout his professional football journey, exclusively with the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL. Post-retirement, he transitioned into the role of an analyst for CBS Sports.
Considering Kelce’s performance during a less-than-stellar 2024 season, Romo emphasized that this was the first time the Kansas City Chiefs tight end faced such intense scrutiny. He expressed confidence that Kelce would grow from this experience and encouraged everyone to have faith in him.
