On August 22, John Fogerty plans to unveil Legacy: The Creedence Clearwater Revival Years, a 20-track collection of his timeless hits re-recorded for our enjoyment. This project was sparked by Taylor Swift’s struggle for mastery over her music, leading him to contemplate naming the album “Taylor’s Version,” in homage to Swift’s naming style.

He expressed his desire for the title “Taylor’s Version” to the record company, but they didn’t agree. However, he eventually chose “John’s Version,” which is a tribute to Taylor Swift and a symbolic reclaiming of his own work instead.
