During a ceremony honoring the Philadelphia Eagles for winning Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs on April 28, 2025, it seemed like Donald Trump made a subtle reference to Taylor Swift. Interestingly, Taylor attended the game to cheer for her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Despite Donald Trump departing ahead of schedule, he was the initial sitting president to personally attend a Super Bowl. His digital activities and statements seem to be an attempt to reignite old conflicts with Taylor Swift, dating back to her political endorsements.

In the 2024 presidential election, Swift chose to back Democratic nominee Kamala Harris following their initial debate. This move prompted a reaction from Trump, who commented on her political affiliations. However, prior to this, Trump was inclined towards supporting the Kansas City Chiefs.
