For weeks, there had been speculation about Dominik Mysterio’s connection with Rhea Ripley. Earlier, he had sided with Ripley over Morgan. However, before their SummerSlam bout, Mysterio publicly accused Morgan of wrecking his life.
Leading up to SummerSlam, I found myself firmly backing Rhea Ripley. But as the event drew near, it seemed like something was amiss. Fans sensed a twist, and boy, were they right! During the Women’s World Championship match, the unexpected happened: Dom turned his back on Ripley and joined forces with Liv Morgan, after months of tantalizing hints about an alliance shift.
At the peak of the contest, Dominik Mysterio pushed a chair into the ring. Rhea Ripley tried to employ it to divert the referee’s attention. However, Liv Morgan took advantage of the situation and executed a second Oblivion on Ripley onto the chair, thereby clinching the victory.
Following Liv Morgan’s unexpected win, Dominik Mysterio affectionately assisted her to her feet and planted a kiss on her as Rhea Ripley watched with a mix of heartache and fury. By favoring Morgan over Ripley, “Dirty Dom” suggests that she is the one who truly grasps his nature.

After Rhea Ripley got injured in April, Liv Morgan has been making efforts to gain favor with Dominik Mysterio. She went as far as presenting him a brand-new PlayStation 5 and a platter of chicken nuggets for The Judgment Day. Dominik Mysterio has publicly acknowledged his gratitude for the thoughtful gift of chicken nuggets from Morgan.
After Mysterio’s surprising act of treachery, he turned to X (previously known as Twitter) to express gratitude for his fresh alliance with Liv Morgan. He shared a picture featuring him and chicken tenders, subtly suggesting another token of appreciation from Morgan.
