She is one of the 12 celebrities competing in Season 24 of the show, alongside actors like Alan Halsall from Coronation Street and Danny Jones, the lead vocalist of McFly, as well as Tulisa from N-Dubz.
During a conversation with her peers, Rooney shared about her family’s trip to the White House where they encountered Trump at Christmas time. “One year when we were living in America, we received an invitation for a White House visit during Christmas,” she said. “We went inside and had the chance to greet Donald Trump.” She added, “Upon entering, we got our picture taken as an official keepsake right beside the beautifully decorated Christmas tree.” (Paraphrased from The Independent)
