By February 2024, whispers about Jessica Tarlov‘s dismissal from Fox’s The Five started circulating. It all kicked off when a user posted this news on X. The user asserted that Tarlov had been let go from the political talk show and wouldn’t be returning. The post, which included images of Tarlov and co-host Jesse Watters, suggested that “Jessica Tarlov was relieved of her duties by FOX. Apparently, she was too effective at presenting her liberal views and outshining Jesse Watters.
Rapidly, the post spread like wildfire, sparking fans’ discussions about Tarlov potentially leaving The Five. However, Irena Briganti, executive vice president of corporate communications for Fox News Media, swiftly dispelled the rumors. She reached out to Snopes via email, labeling the reports of Tarlov’s termination as entirely false.
Apart from this, viewers began to worry about Tarlov due to rumors of her absence on The Five. However, it was later revealed that she had appeared on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher. This absence was actually a temporary one as Tarlov announced her second pregnancy in January of the same year. In April 2024, she gave birth to her second child, Teddy Tarlov McKenna. It is worth noting that this wasn’t the first time Tarlov took a break from work for personal reasons. In fact, she had previously left The Five in 2021 after announcing her first pregnancy and giving birth to her first child in December of the same year.
