What are intermission tracks in Mario Kart World?

In Mario Kart World, the tracks connecting one main track to another are known as intermission routes, which are lengthy roadways that players must navigate through during gameplay. These stretches of road serve as transitions between courses and often contribute to one or more laps’ total. For instance, you might find yourself racing from Dry Bones Burnout to Airship Fortress via the intermission route, with only two laps remaining on the desired course once you reach Airship Fortress.

Earlier, the player used to select “Random” while playing online games. This choice bypassed the intermission tunes and instantly moved players into the game, permitting them to play on a track for its full three or more laps.
