Wes Anderson Debuts First Trailer for ‘The Phoenician Scheme’

Focus Features has unveiled the formal trailer for Wes Anderson’s forthcoming movie titled The Phoenician Scheme. (Informal: Focus Features has just released the official trailer for Wes Anderson’s next film, titled The Phoenician Scheme.)

This intriguing black comedy revolves around Zsa-zsa Korda (played by Benicio del Toro), a man who has miraculously cheated death six times, and Liesl (Mia Threapleton), a nun and one of his ten children. Despite their tense connection, Zsa-zsa designates Liesl as the sole inheritor of his estate. Together with tutor Bjorn (Michael Cera), they embark on an adventure to guarantee the success of what Zsa-zsa terms his “most significant project” throughout his life.

In addition to the cast of Anderson’s 13th movie, we have Riz Ahmed, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Mathieu Amalric, Richard Ayoade, Jeffrey Wright, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rupert Friend, and Hope Davis joining the lineup. Anderson collaborates with Roman Coppola on the script for this film, and they also produce it along with Steven Rales, Jeremy Dawson, and John Peet.
