As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for the pulse of the entertainment industry, I must say that Jr NTR’s recent statements at the Devara press meet in Chennai were nothing short of inspiring. His eloquent words about the unifying power of cinema, especially post Baahubali, resonated deeply with me.
Actor Jr NTR is gearing up for the debut of his eagerly anticipated movie titled Devara: Part 1. In anticipation of the film’s premiere, both Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor participated in a press conference held in Chennai. At this gathering, Jr NTR acknowledged the significant influence that SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali had on its viewers by expressing his admiration for it.
Jr NTR pointed out that due to the movie Baahubali starring Prabhas, audiences no longer seem to be split by the type of cinema they watch. He expressed, “Following Baahubali, our division is based on language, but not on cinema any longer. It’s no longer Kollywood, Sandalwood, Bollywood, or Tollywood; it’s simply cinema. We may speak different languages, but we share a common bond through this one term: cinema. The success of movies at the box office demonstrates that we are no longer divided.
At the Devara event held in Chennai, Jr NTR acknowledged and thanked his team, particularly director Koratala Siva. He referred to filmmaker and music composer Anirudh Ravichander as the “pillars” of Devara. Moreover, he reminisced about his early career days when he trained in Kuchipudi dance in Chennai, which holds a special place in his heart.
At the gathering, I myself shared my eagerness to collaborate with the esteemed Tamil filmmaker, Vetrimaaran. I expressed, “I plan to reach out to my most admired director…Vetrimaaran sir, could you consider a project together? Let’s create an authentic Tamil film first, which we can later dub into Telugu.
Take a look at Jr NTR’s speech from the event below:
In a short while, the movie titled Devara featuring Jr NTR as the main character will premiere on September 27. This film will see Jr NTR taking on two roles – that of the father and his son. Saif Ali Khan has been cast as the powerful villain who opposes Jr NTR in this cinematic showdown.
Additionally, Devara will be Janhvi’s initial foray into Telugu cinema prior to RC 16. Alongside them, the film boasts a talented ensemble cast that includes Shine Tom Chacko, Murali Sharma, Prakash Raj, Shruti Marathe, Srikanth, Ajay, and others.
