Wayfinder finally launches with version 1.0

As a seasoned gamer with a knack for uncovering hidden gems in the vast sea of video games, I must admit that Wayfinder piqued my interest right from the get-go. The tale of its tumultuous journey to release resonated deeply with me, as I’ve seen many promising projects falter due to unforeseen circumstances.

After facing numerous challenges along the way, the team at Airship Syndicate has triumphantly arrived at their destination. Now, their much-anticipated labor of love, Wayfinder, is officially out for sale on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

What is Wayfinder?

In this game called Wayfinder, you embark on a cooperative role-playing adventure that blends action with an expansive open world and numerous dungeon exploration aspects. Your goal is to retrieve the potent power of the Wayfinders in order to restore peace and drive out the chaos and wickedness plaguing Evenor.

Together with up to two friends, you conquer dungeons and fight against a large variety of bosses.

What happened to Wayfinder?

Initially, the game was a free multiplayer role-playing title that Airship Syndicate was refining. However, they encountered a significant hurdle: Digital Extremes, their former publisher, shut down the division responsible for publishing Wayfinder, preventing the game from being released.

Fortunately, Airship Syndicate regained control over their own game. Instead of simply releasing it in its original form, they decided to remove it from Steam and other digital stores for a total revamp.

The developers took all criticism from fans to heart and decided to improve accordingly.

Approximately four months past, Wayfinder reemerged during its early access phase. A noticeable transformation was immediate. It’s no longer confined to multiplayer exclusively; players can now choose to play solo as well.

Wayfinder’s full launch

Now, Airship Syndicate has officially unveiled the complete launch of Wayfinder, arriving at version 1.0. You can grab it for $26.50 on Steam right now, and they’re offering a 10% discount as a special introductory offer.

“Wayfinder has been a passion project from the start, and from our entire crew at Airship, we appreciate every person who has played the game and given us positive and negative feedback,” said the studio upon launch.

Since the early access and particularly after the full release, the Steam reviews have noticeably turned more favorable. The majority of reviews post-launch have been extremely positive.

Will you be playing Wayfinder now it’s finally been released?
