Apart from the Christian observance of Good Friday, Warner Bros and DC Comics are also marking the occasion of Superman Day by releasing an exclusive sneak peek into their upcoming movie.
According to DC Studios co-chief and Superman producer Peter Safran, “James Gunn wasn’t aware that Superman was part of his plans.” He was hesitant about taking on the project, as Safran explains, “He wasn’t convinced it was the right one for him.” However, things changed when Gunn contacted Safran and said, “I have a way in. I know what I want to discuss.
Gunn emphasizes how he’d been trying to crack this noble superhero for years.
In the captivating preview I’m referring to, it becomes evident that the robots credited with saving Superman earlier weren’t just computer-generated imagery. One of these mechanical marvels even extended a friendly greeting to me in the form of a high-five!
Superman flies on July 11.
