As a seasoned gamer who has seen more than a few seasons of The Walking Dead and countless action movies, I can’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation when it comes to Norman Reedus’ latest projects. His role as Daryl Dixon in TWD has been nothing short of iconic, and now, he’s stepping into the world of John Wick with ‘Ballerina.’

Presently, Norman Reedus is appearing in season 2 of The Walking Dead, titled “The Book of Carol.” This series, broadcast on AMC and AMC+, started on September 29. In this season, Carol Peletier, played by Melissa McBride, reappears, making it a significant return for her character within the universe of The Walking Dead. Actress Ana de Armas takes the lead in this production, alongside veterans Anjelica Huston, Lance Riddick (in his last on-screen performance), Ian McShane, and Keanu Reeves, who reappear from earlier John Wick films. Joining them are newcomers Norman Reedus, Gabriel Byrne, and Catalina Sandino Moreno to round out the cast.

In this rephrased version: Eve Macarro, portrayed by Armas, is a ballet-dancing hitwoman seeking vengeance for her family’s demise. Nogi (Sharon Duncan-Brewster) instructs her in the Ruska Roma traditions to carry out her mission. Huston returns as The Director, with Reddick taking on the role of Charon, who manages the Continental Hotel in New York, a property owned by Winston Scott (McShane), an acquaintance of John Wick’s (Reeves), a renowned assassin.

In this production, Reedus takes up the character of Pine, a man shrouded in mystery whose background remains largely unknown. Viewers are eager to discover if he aligns with righteousness or corruption as his role unfolds. Byrne enters the plot as the central adversary, The Chancellor, who clashes with Macarro.

Ballerina will premiere in theaters on June 6, 2025. Check out the official trailer for the film.

During an interview with Collider, Reedus shared his thoughts on working alongside Keanu Reeves for the film Ballerina: “I’ve known Keanu, and I must admit, my hat’s off to him because it’s a highly demanding, all-out, take-Advil-constantly kind of role. But it’s enjoyable. It’s incredibly enjoyable. The choreography is flawless; there’s no room for error in this. In contrast, Daryl Dixon’s fights are messy and haphazard. There are no messy or sloppy fights here.

Right now, Norman Reedus is shooting the third season of The Walking Dead, featuring his character Daryl Dixon, in Spain. He’s also taken on roles for a psychological drama titled “The Housewife” and another project within the Boondock Saints series.
