As a gamer who’s spent countless hours immersed in the post-apocalyptic world of The Walking Dead, I can’t help but feel a sense of awe and respect for these talented actors who have not only brought our favorite characters to life but have also stepped behind the camera to direct episodes.
In 2025, the second season of “The Walking Dead: Dead City” is set to debut. The character Maggie Rhee, portrayed by Lauren Cohan in TWDU, will be stepping behind the camera for two episodes during this upcoming season. It’s always thrilling to witness our beloved actors expand their roles within the fan community. Interestingly enough, Cohan isn’t the first cast member to direct at least one episode from either the main series or its offshoots.
Michael Cudlitz is widely recognized for numerous roles during his career, among them being the sharp-witted Abraham Ford from The Walking Dead. After his character met a violent end at the hands of Negan, portrayed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, in season 7, Cudlitz subsequently went on to direct several episodes of the show and one of its spinoffs.
