Lately, Rajinikanth has been keeping quite busy with the intense filming for Jailer 2. You’ll often spot him dashing to and from set locations, but it’s not just the movie that’s grabbing attention; videos of his spontaneous fan encounters along the way have become popular online. Notably, the veteran actor took a pause in his journey recently, stopping at an ancient temple en route.

Videos shared widely on social platforms show Rajinikanth approaching the temple entrance, clad in traditional garments. With a warm grin, the esteemed actor acknowledged the welcoming gesture from the temple officials.

400-year-old Matheswaran Shiva Temple lay hidden and unused for centuries according to history. It wasn’t until 1997 that it was found again and restored. Over time, its dreamlike charm and straightforward allure have drawn in many tourists and worshippers.

At the regular filming location for Jailer 2, it was the actor’s expensive black MG Hector SUV that drew attention, with a hefty price tag of around 18 lakh rupees. This six-seater vehicle is one of Rajinikanth’s latest acquisitions.

The actor climbed onto the roof of his vehicle while waving and expressing gratitude to his admirers who were gathered around it, echoing the cheer of “Thalaiva” in unison.

Speaking about his upcoming films, Rajinikanth’s “Jailer 2” is helmed by director Nelson Dilipkumar. This action-packed drama is the follow-up to a film released in 2023 with the same title. Notably, Sun Pictures is responsible for its production and it features Ramya Krishnan and SJ Suryah in significant roles.

In addition to the current project, it’s worth mentioning that the Tamil actor is set to star in another film titled “Coolie”, which will be helmed by director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The release date for this movie is scheduled for August 14th.
