As a dedicated gamer and long-time fan of the Ghostbusters franchise, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard about “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.” The latest installment in the beloved series, directed by Gil Kenen and co-written by Jason Reitman, is a must-watch for both newcomers and die-hard fans.

As a long-time fan of the Ghostbusters franchise, I’m both excited and intrigued by the release of “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.” Having grown up watching the original movies, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia as I hear that Gil Kenan, who brought us the delightful “Monster House,” is at the helm. His collaboration with Jason Reitman, the director of the critically acclaimed “Ghostbusters: Afterlife,” promises a fresh and exciting take on the beloved series.

Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Celeste O’Connor, and Logan Kim reappear in “Frozen Empire,” having previously acted together in “Afterlife” (2021). Notably, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and William Atherton join the team. These actors are renowned for their roles in the 1984 classic “Ghostbusters.” Additionally, Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind have recently joined the cast of this film.

As a gamer, I can tell you that Kevin Mangold and Ian Whyte bring Slimer and Garraka to life in this game. Slimer, the beloved ghost from the first movie, is their creation, and they control his every move. Similarly, Garraka is also under their expert puppeteering.

In this new film, the Spengler family reconnects with the original Ghostbusters in New York City’s famous firehouse, years after the events of “Afterlife.” For devoted fans of the first installment, it’s a nostalgic journey as the families team up with their idols. The OG Ghostbusters have been secretly conducting research in a lab, enabling them to increase their ghost-busting abilities. However, when an ancient artifact is unearthed, a horde of ghosts emerges, casting a chilling shadow over the city. To prevent another ice age from engulfing the Earth, the old and new Ghostbusters must join forces and save the day.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is now streaming on Netflix. Take a look at the trailer below.

Logan Kim – Dead City season 2

The filming for the second season of “The Walking Dead: Dead City” has recently come to an end, with the production shifting from New Jersey to Massachusetts for this upcoming phase. Fans are eagerly anticipating a first look at season 2 during the series’ panel at the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC).

In a new series called “Dead City,” which is the initial spinoff of “The Walking Dead” and takes place some years after the final episode aired in 2022, Kim plays the role of an older Hershel Rhee. Hershel, who is the son of Maggie (Lauren Cohen) and Glenn (Steven Yeun), was born following his father’s tragic death at the hands of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). The narrative of this show departs significantly from “The Walking Dead” by shifting the setting from the forested areas to the post-apocalyptic island of Manhattan.

In season 1, I was unexpectedly taken by The Croat, played by Ċ½eljko Ivanek, a menacing figure once part of Negan’s saviors now instilling fear in Manhattan’s residents. He snatched me away and struck a deal with Maggie: her son for Negan. As the season drew to a close, I found myself at odds with my mother due to her relentless pursuit of revenge against Negan.

In an interview with Screen Rant, the actor hinted at a more complex and ominous journey for his character.

Oh, yes. I’m going to be filming that very soon, and I will say Hershel has a lot more to do now that he’s not kidnapped. And it’s very exciting, and I can’t wait to play such a dark character.

Logan Kim

As a huge fan of supernatural themes and heart-pumping action, I strongly urge you not to miss out on Logan Kim in “Ghostbusters: Afterlife,” “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” and “The Walking Dead: Dead City.” Having grown up watching the original Ghostbusters films, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement as I witness the evolution of this iconic franchise. With Logan Kim joining the cast, I have high expectations that these new projects will bring fresh energy and intrigue to the stories we love.
