As an ardent follower of South Indian cinema and fashion, I couldn’t help but be captivated by the enchanting engagement ceremony of Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala. Their union not only symbolizes their love for each other but also echoes a deep respect for tradition and culture.
Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala deepened their bond by getting engaged on August 8, surrounded by family and dear ones. The event was filled with joy. Not long after the engagement, renowned makeup artist Shraddha Mishra shared a sneak peek of the ceremony on her social media platforms.
In the video, Sobhita Dhulipala can be spotted getting ready for her engagement event, sporting a simple makeup style that highlights her inherent charm. Her makeup is gentle and unassuming, emphasizing a radiant, dewy complexion. She delicately lines her eyes with kajal and chooses a lip color that harmonizes with her skin tone, keeping it natural.
Sobhita chose to adorn herself with fabrics woven by communities from Andhra Pradesh, wishing to celebrate her heritage and pay tribute to the area’s ancient customs. She donned Uppada silk, which had a soft golden hue like the Kanakambaram flower – a bloom traditionally worn by Telugu women in temples. The Padmam (lotus) added an eternal touch to her ensemble. The design of her outfit, influenced by the artwork of renowned Telugu artist Bapu, was a modern adaptation of the popular half-saree style, favored by young women across South India.
In her explanation of the makeup style, the artist stated that “@sobhitad’s appearance embodied understated elegance. We opted for a straightforward approach, using only a hint of kohl eyeliner and a subtle, rosy blush tone to create the illusion of ‘natural’ makeup. To complete the look, she wore a traditional long South Indian braid, which added a classic touch.”

Lately, Sobhita posted some never-before-seen pictures from her engagement with Naga Chaitanya. In these photos, they looked radiant and charismatic as they posed for the cameras. Accompanying the images, Sobhita wrote a touching message: “In love, our hearts blend like red soil and rain, beyond separation,” which is a quote from Kurunthogai, translated by A K Ramanujan.

For those unfamiliar, Sobhita and Naga Chaitanya announced their engagement after two years of a clandestine relationship. Previously, the actor known for his role in Thandem, had married Samantha Ruth Prabhu in 2017. Regrettably, they split up in 2021 due to private matters.
