As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve got some news to share: I’ve been playing games developed by Warner Bros. for the last 12 years under the leadership of David Haddad, who was the president of WB Games. But now, it seems that he’s moving on, with his departure set for April. They’re currently searching for a successor to take over, so here’s hoping they find someone equally awesome to keep delivering those fantastic gaming experiences!
According to Variety’s report, it was announced inside Warner Bros. today that their Games division will undergo a change, with this news being discussed by Warner Bros. Games CEO, JB Perrette, in a statement he issued.
David carefully selected a suitable moment, considering it ideal due to the less hectic nature of our current project releases. This timing should effectively reduce disturbances to our existing workflows and long-term strategies, enabling our team to seamlessly gear up for the creation of another groundbreaking game.
As per the report, the leadership of Warner Bros. clarified that they have no plans to sell their gaming division, putting an end to speculations that had been around for quite some time. This revelation comes following the launch of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League in 2023. Regrettably, this game did not meet expectations, both critically and financially, with Warner Bros. admitting it fell short of their hopes.
