As a fan who’s been following Josh Mikel’s impressive career, I can confidently say that he’s become a versatile actor who excels in bringing dynamic characters to life. From his menacing portrayal of “$h!tty Jared” in The Walking Dead to his upcoming role in the MCU’s Thunderbolts, Mikel continues to expand his range and prove his talent.
Actor Josh Mikel rose to fame with his portrayal of “Dirty Jared” in The Walking Dead. He was a Savior under Negan and enjoyed their lifestyle until he met his end at the hands of Morgan Jones, played by Lennie James. With an impressive resume that includes Ozark, Manhunt, Renfield, Mayfair Witches, and numerous other projects, Mikel has now added another film to his collection – the action-comedy Brothers.
The movie produced by Legendary Pictures revolves around twin siblings Moke and Jady, who discover at a tender age that their family enterprise involves illegal activities. The narrative unfolds on Thanksgiving Day in 1994 and spans over three decades, with Moke striving for a better life and Jady, fresh out of prison, seeking his next opportunity for profit. Their journey takes them on a perilous road trip filled with close encounters with gunfire, the authorities, and their domineering mother.
In this movie, Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage take on the roles of twin brothers, Moke and Jady. Joining them are Marisa Tomei, Taylor Paige, Glenn Close, Brendan Fraser, Andrew Brodeur, and the late M. Emmet Walsh. Notably, Mikel is cast as a character named Glenn in this production.
The film “Brothers” was helmed by director Max Barbakow, known for his work on “Palm Springs,” with the screenplay penned by Macon Blair, who has previously worked on “I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore.” Etan Cohen, famed for his work on “Men in Black 3,” provided the original story. The movie had a limited theatrical premiere on October 10 and became available for streaming on Prime Video starting October 17.
