In July 2024, Lincoln commenced shooting for his new British series titled “Cold Water,” a suspenseful production by ITV. Known for his role in “The Walking Dead,” Lincoln will take on the character of John, a discontented middle-aged man who is a stay-at-home father. He decides to relocate his family to Coldwater, a secluded Scottish village, where he forms an unusual friendship with Tommy, a neighbor played by Ewen Bremner, best known for his role in “Trainspotting.” However, Tommy conceals some terrifying secrets, causing John’s wife to grow suspicious.
In a new six-episode production, David Ireland – famed for his contributions to Sky’s “The Lovers” and the side-splitting character of Sean Devlin in “Derry Girls” on Channel 4 – is the mastermind behind the upcoming show titled “Cold Water.” This captivating series will be aired on ITV, or as you might know it, Channel 3. The production company, Sister, who recently worked on the Netflix suspenseful drama “Eric,” is responsible for bringing this project to life. Moreover, Lincoln, who previously held an executive role during “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” spinoff where he reprised his iconic Rick Grimes character, will once again assume the executive producer position in this series.
Beyond the main actors, we have Indira Varma joining the crew, portraying John’s wife named Fiona. Similarly, Eve Myles will be bringing Rebecca to life on screen. IMDb also mentions Jason Alan Staines as part of our talented cast.
The production of “Cold Water” started in Dennistoun, a place in Scotland, and has also shot scenes in the partially rural town of Strathaven as well as the village of Dunlop.
In 2024, Lincoln resumed his character as Rick Grimes for the spinoff of The Walking Dead, titled The Ones Who Live. This series marked the eagerly anticipated reunion between Rick and Michonne (played by Danai Gurira), his longtime love. The six-episode limited series was warmly received, leaving fans hopeful for more appearances from Lincoln in this role.
Under the direction of Jennifer Kent, known for The Babadook, emerges THE MURMURING – an original tale by Guillermo del Toro featuring a duo (Essie Davis and Andrew Lincoln) who experience peculiar incidents while investigating birds.
