Walking Dead: Dead City & Daryl Dixon return to NYCC this week

As a seasoned gamer and die-hard fan of “The Walking Dead”, I can hardly contain my excitement for this year’s NYCC lineup! The prospect of getting a sneak peek into the second seasons of both “Dead City” and “Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol” is truly a dream come true.

Enthusiasts are preparing for the lineup of AMC Network’s New York Comic Con event in 2024, taking place at the Javits Center from October 17-20, 2024. This colossal gathering is all about Western comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, cosplay, toys, movies, and television. In this year’s event, AMC will present panels for two spinoffs of “The Walking Dead,” namely “Dead City” and “Daryl Dixon.

In a lineage of shows born from the hit AMC series The Walking Dead, which delves into an undead apocalypse, the shows “Dead City” and “Daryl Dixon” are two offshoots. At New York Comic Con, these spin-offs directly follow events from the original show, expanding on characters presented in The Walking Dead. “Dead City” sees Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) together in a fresh Manhattan setting. Meanwhile, “Daryl Dixon” chronicles Daryl’s (Norman Reedus) journey in France, with Carol (Melissa McBride) rejoining the cast for its second season.

On Friday, October 18th, between 6 and 7 PM Eastern Time, the “The Walking Dead: Dead City” season 2 panel is scheduled for the main stage.

This year, the “Dead City” panel will be led by Chris Jericho, who is both a professional wrestler and a rock musician. The panelists who have been scheduled to attend are Scott M. Gimple, the Chief Content Officer and creator of “The Walking Dead”, Lauren Cohan, an actress, director, and executive producer, Gaius Charles, Zeljko Ivank, as well as Dascha Polanco, a new addition to the series.

As an eager admirer, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be part of a special event offering a sneak peek at the upcoming second season of the series we’ve all been waiting for, set to debut in 2025!

On Friday, October 18th, from 7 PM to 8 PM Eastern Time, the “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol” panel is scheduled on the main stage.

The “Daryl Dixon” discussion is scheduled before the fourth episode of season 2, part 6 airs on AMC and AMC+. This event will be led by the multi-talented Robert Rodriguez, who is a filmmaker, composer, and visual effects expert. Notable figures expected to attend include Scott Gimple, showrunner David Zabel, director Greg Nicotero, stars Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, and Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, who are also executive producers.

For those unable to attend the event in person, live streams of the panels offered by Popverse are an option. If you happen to miss the livestream, don’t worry! On Monday, October 21 at 12 p.m. ET, Popverse will make available the panels for Dead City and Daryl Dixon through Video on Demand (VOD). The Walking Dead panels will be accessible free of charge, but other fandom panels necessitate a Popverse membership to view.

Without a doubt, the upcoming events are certain to offer fans of “The Walking Dead” an exciting array of content for “Dead City” and “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol,” promising new seasons and episodes.
