Walking Dead alum Dallas Roberts list of movies and tv shows

As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for gripping dramas and thrillers, I’ve been hooked on the intriguing world of Netflix’s Monsters series. From the spine-tingling portrayal of Jeffrey Dahmer by Evan Peters to the chilling account of Ed Gein starring Charlie Hunnam, each season of this series has left me on the edge of my seat.

Actor Dallas Roberts, known for his role in The Walking Dead, is presently appearing in the second part of Netflix’s Monsters series titled “The Menendez Murders: Focus on Lyle and Erik,” which debuted this week.

The Menendez Story is a continuation of the Monsters series, in which each season dramatizes a notorious serial killer or crime. The first installment, Monsters: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, saw Evan Peters in a spine-chilling portrayal of Dahmer, a man who, for over a decade, eluded authorities during his killing spree. The third season will focus on Ed Gein, another serial killer who will be played by Sons of Anarchy actor Charlie Hunnam.

In this new adaptation, titled “Monsters: The Tale of Lyle and Erik Menendez“, we delve into the shocking murders that took place in the ’90s, focusing on the tragic deaths of Jose and Kitty Menendez. This notorious case, involving the Menedez couple, was one of the most talked-about in the 1990s. It was later revealed that their sons, Lyle and Erik, were responsible for these heinous acts. Currently serving time for their crimes, they remain imprisoned.

Roberts portrays Dr. Jerome Oziel, a therapist who Erik had sessions with after the murders.

Fans recall Roberts as Milton Mamet, Woodbury resident and loyal associate of the Governor (David Morrissey), the community’s leader. His role was that of the Governor’s researcher, where he conducted experiments on the undead. However, he soon uncovered the Governor’s deceitful “good guy” facade and started to resist. This resistance ultimately resulted in a brutal beating and his tragic demise at the hands of the Governor.

In his latest acting gigs, Roberts can be seen in “Outpost,” a chilling thriller helmed by Jo Lo Truglio. This film also stars Beth Dover, who, following a brutal assault, retreats to the mountains and takes up work as a ranger on lookout duty. Her life, however, becomes increasingly entwined with something sinister. Roberts assumes the role of Ranger Dan in this production, and a sneak peek can be found in the trailer linked above. You can catch “Outpost” on Plex and Pluto streaming platforms.

2022 saw Roberts star in Rian Johnson’s “Glass Onion,” the sequel to the movie series “Knives Out.” This series showcases master detective Benoit Blanc (portrayed by Daniel Craig) as he delves into intricate whodunit mysteries. In this installment, Roberts takes on the role of Devon Debella, husband to Claire (played by Kathryn Hahn), who is also the governor of Connecticut and is running for a seat in the U.S. Senate.

In the Netflix original series titled “Insatiable“, Roberts and Debby Ryan take the lead roles. This show is a dark comedy that was inspired by Jeff Chu’s article “The Pageant King of Alabama,” which appeared in The New York Times Magazine in 2014. The series tells the story of Patty Bladell (Ryan), a high school student who was often ridiculed for her weight. After a traumatic event, she undergoes a severe diet that causes her to lose a significant amount of weight. She then teams up with disreputable beauty pageant judge Bob Armstrong (Roberts), who finds himself in deep waters as Patty is determined to retaliate against those who bullied her in the past.

In the third and fourth seasons of the innovative Showtime series, “The L Word,” Roberts played the recurring character Angus Partridge, a main cast member. Later, he reappeared as a guest star in season six.

In the year 2017, he assumed the role of Lester “The Reaper” McGill in the film titled “Mayhem“, headlined by Steven Yeun and Samara Weaving. This movie can now be streamed on AMC+.

Apart from that, he’s been featured in various productions such as “Big Sky,” “American Rust,” “American Crime,” and “Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings.” Some of his earlier acting gigs encompass “The Grey,” “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” “3:10 to Yuma,” “Dallas Buyers Club,” and “Walk the Line.
