As a devoted follower, I can’t help but admire Wale’s influence over the sneaker community, particularly his passionate endorsement of the Nike GT Future. Throughout the year, the DMV rapper has been subtly teasing us with tantalizing glimpses of vibrant new color schemes destined to grace this iconic silhouette.

Ever since the basketball shoe made its first appearance at this year’s NBA All-Star event, there’s been a lot of buzz surrounding it as one of the most eagerly awaited sneakers. It has already sparked discussions about its resemblance to the Hyperflight and Air Flightposite One models. The pair that rapper Wale flaunted in a spontaneous style check with @fitsonthestreets appears to have been influenced by the “Grinch” and “Kryptonite” color schemes.
